Latest DVD is a huge success
The CODE team received excellent feedback at the launch of its latest DVD production at the end of May. This was at the premier of `Someone Who Listens`, the exciting new DVD made by children and young people for the Workforce Development Team in Services for Children and Young People in Plymouth City Council. It was shown for the first time on the 21st May at the Plymouth College of Art and Design.
The DVD has been made to help new children`s social workers, teachers and child care workers hear what children and young people need from them. It has been designed as a training tool for new recruits working with children and young people in the city and will be shown to them in their first few weeks on the job.
Annagret Ward, Staff Development Officer comments: "This was the first project we worked on in partnership with CODE, the Participation team at Routeways and the College of Art and Design. The end result is fantastic and we have had such an excellent response that there has been in interest to take this nationally. It is a professional product that we hope will make people sit up and listen."
